6 tips for parking

Therefore, we would like to give you 6 tips, so you have a better opportunity to comply with the rules and avoid having to pay an inspection fee.


1. ORIENTATE YOURSELF ABOUT THE SIGNS

Private car parks are signposted at the entrance with a black sign with a white P. There are also signs setup at spaces informing about the provisions in the car park.

You must ensure that you comply with all the provisions on the signs.

TIP! Read each line and decide for yourself whether the parking you are just about to do is in accordance with the rules of the given site.


2. PARKING WITHIN THE BAY’S LINES

Always be sure to keep within the lines of the bay, if you park in a bay. 

TIP! If it is not possible to keep within the lines if other cars, for example, have parked crooked, so find another space where you can observe the rules.


3. SET THE PARKING DISC CORRECTLY

The parking disc must be set to display the time that you parked your car. However, you can set the time to the end of the quarter, when you started parking.

TIP! Note that you may only have one parking disc in the windscreen at a time. Service personnel cannot clearly determine whether it is one or the other that are applicable – even if one is electronic.
Also remember to check your electronic parking disc, to check it is set correctly before you leave the car.


4. PLACE YOUR PARKING PERMIT and TICKET VISIBLY IN THE WINDSCREEN

Parking permits and purchased parking tickets must be visible and readable in the windscreen with the front side up, so service personnel can easily read them.

TIP! Always check from the outside before you leave, just as service personnel will.


5. IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT – USE YOUR COMMON SENSE

If you are in doubt, rather go back and check if your parking complies with the rules in force for that car park – so you avoid an inspection fee.

TIP! If you encounter ONEPARK service personnel in the car park, you can always ask for help and ask questions about parking. They will be more than happy to assist you.
